The restaurant is pretty famous among thr locals and booking in advance is highly recomended. eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. A definite must! The calamari was fresh and super tender but chewy, perfect texture. We didn't have reservations (and they were booked) but decided to take a chance, dress up smart and hope that they think us good looking enough to take us in.. they did!
So amazing. We showed them our booking- the made us wait while a super rude (blonde older lady waitress checked the system). Staff was unfriendly, food not good and we waited extremely long for everything while locals were clearly served with priority. We had both and cannot decide which one is more delicious !!! Hearty Food and Safe Haven on a Cold Moist Roman Day. I'll dream of eating here every night until I finally get to again. There's more seafood on the menu here than is usual, which comes as a nice change. The wife and I got a bottle of local red for 24 Euro and it started off our meal nicely. We felt sustained to continue on. Contact Trattoria da Teo - only they can answer. Loved this dish.I tried my best to finish the pasta but the portions were just too much. No booking but as early there were a few empty tables.

Ambiance was charming and intimate. Very reasonably priced. They were basically accusing us of lying to get in and saying they didn't want us dining there (also accurate according to other reviews). It was recommended to me by the local Yelp community manager (thanks Salvatore!) We wouldn't have found this place if the host in our B&B in Trastevere hadn't recommended it to us. I also recommend dropping by the restaurant and checking out the indoor and outdoor seating areas so you know which you want before making the reservation.
